Student Placement Input Form

We have begun the process of creating classrooms for the 2020-21 school year. There are many considerations required to form equitable and cohesive classes of children. If you would like to give yourLetter to Parents.docx  input, please complete the attached form and return in by May 22nd.

GP Staff Parade 

We miss your smiling faces! Gilbert Park staff will be doing a car parade through the neighborhoods on Thursday, May 28th, between 11:00-12:30. Please watch for us and come out and say hi!!!

School Supplies

Do you need pencils, crayons, scissors, notebooks, paper etc?  We have a few supplies we can give.  Come to GP on Tuesdays from 1:00-3:00 in our bus turnaround and let our staff know what items you need.

Library Books

If you have a library book to return to school you can do so any Tuesday from 1:00-3:00.

Yearbooks

The GP yearbooks are all sold for this year. Due to the situation at hand, we did reduce the number we ordered. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Kindergarten Registration

It is time to register Kindergarten students for the 2020-21 school year.  If you are anyone you know has a student ready to start Kindergarten in the fall, please go to our district website at www.ddouglas.k12.or.us, click on Registration at the top of the page and select “Register Your Child K-12”

Distance Learning Packets

Every Tuesday from 1:00-3:00 we will be distributing Distance Learning Packets to families who do not have easy access to online learning. If your student is participating in the Google Classroom, they do not need this packet.  Distance Learning Packets are new each week.

Chromebooks

If you still need a Chromebook or need to exchange a malfunctioning Chromebook, you can come to GP on Tuesdays from 1:00-3:00. We also have tutorials on how to use your Chromebook, and a number to call for tech support.  Meals and Food Pantries

Student meals are served from 9-11 a.m. every weekday at Gilbert Heights Elementary.

Gilbert Park Food Pantry is held every Wednesday from 2:00-4:00.

Welcome to the Gilbert Park website! My name is Stacie Moncrief, and I am honored to be the principal at this outstanding school. The entire teaching and support staff at Gilbert Park is dedicated to providing a caring, safe, and fun learning environment for your children. We strive to instill three basic expectations in all of our students: Be Safe, Be Responsible, and Be Respectful. Following these basic principles will create a path for our students in becoming positive and productive citizens in our community.

I encourage all parents to become involved with their child’s education. We will do everything we can to effectively communicate with you and provide opportunities to be involved in the education of your child and the success of our school. We welcome parents to volunteer in classrooms and contribute time to the Gilbert Park PTA. I am committed to the continual improvement of education for our students. I ask you to join me in a partnership that will guide all of our students to reach their full potential.
