Welcome to the Gilbert Park website! My name is Stacie Moncrief, and I am honored to be the principal at this outstanding school. The entire teaching and support staff at Gilbert Park is dedicated to providing a caring, safe, and fun learning environment for your children. We strive to instill three basic expectations in all of our students: Be Safe, Be Responsible, and Be Respectful. Following these basic principles will create a path for our students in becoming positive and productive citizens in our community.

I encourage all parents to become involved with their child’s education. We will do everything we can to effectively communicate with you and provide opportunities to be involved in the education of your child and the success of our school. We welcome parents to volunteer in classrooms and contribute time to the Gilbert Park PTA. I am committed to the continual improvement of education for our students. I ask you to join me in a partnership that will guide all of our students to reach their full potential.

Please call the office at 503-256-6531 by 9:15 AM when your child is going to be absent. If we do not receive a call, the office will attempt to contact the parent or emergency contacts. A written note stating the date(s) and reason for the absence is required upon returning.

Classroom Doors Open 8:45 a.m.
Class Begins 9:00 a.m.
Dismissal 3:15
Office Hours 7:30-4:30

Wednesday: Our schools will open one hour late every Wednesday. Teachers and principals use this one-hour of extra time to plan and implement school improvements. Increasing academic achievement will be the focus of these planning periods. Below is the schedule for Wednesdays:

Office Hours 7:30-4:30

Students should not arrive to school prior to 8:45 a.m. unless they are eating breakfast.
Please do not schedule or plan for your student to be let out of school prior to 3:15. It is extremely important that students arrive and leave school on time to ensure they do not miss valuable instructional time!
